Melville and the monkey

Written by Pterodromae Cahow at 13:49 2/9-2016

After a disastrous first third of Season 37, Pterodromae Cahow managed to improve and finish the season in the top of the 3rd division. The highlight of the season came when Keegan Pinson's successfully defended his trophy in Denmark, yet it was Melville Morefield who, due to five top-five finishes, surprised everyone by ending as the season's leading points scorer. However, when speaking about his goals for next season, it seemed that Morefield was less than fully satisfied with the way Season 37 played out for him.

Said Morefield: "My goal for Season 38 is simple: I want a win. It is the one thing that has really been missing for me. I am happy with the way I have performed so far, but not so much with my results. It has been quite frustrating to come close to victory a number of times without actually winning a race. It is worse now that Griswold (Matson, red.) keeps reminding me that he has won a race and I have not. I guess you could say I have a monkey on my back. I want to bring an end to my winless streak: that is my goal."

So will Morefield be able to get his much-coveted win in Season 38? Will he finally be able to get the monkey off his back? And will Morefield be able to repeat his feat of ending a season as the leading points scorer? We will be looking forward to the answers to these questions as the Storm Petrels' Season 38 kicks off in Spain tomorrow!
